Music shows are weekly broadcast programs in South Korea where artists perform to promote their latest releases. Each week, a winning song is determined based on specific criteria set by each show. Securing music show wins not only rewards Stray Kids' hard work and dedication but also enhances their brand reputation, contributes to end-of-year awards, and boosts overall recognition.

Each music show has different criteria, making it essential for STAYs to understand the requirements and prepare accordingly. Data for each scoring category is collected leading up to the live broadcast, meaning every vote, stream, and purchase matters.

Digitals: 35% (3,500 points) - Downloads & Streams on Melon, Flo, Genie & Bugs

Physicals: 15% ( 1,500 points) - Physical Album sales according to Hanteo album chart

Pre-Voting: 20% (2,000 points) - Votes via Idolchamp app (split between KR & Global/CH)

SNS: 10% (1,000 points) - YouTube views on official music video

Broadcast: 20% (2,000 points) - The number of times the song is played by MBC M TV & participate in MBC M shows (Weekly Idol).

RULES:

Triple crown winners (3 Show Champion wins in a row) are not eligible.

OST sound sources and audition program broadcast sound sources are ineligible for MBC review.
A song can only win a maximum of 3 times instead of 5 times within the first 2 months of its release. (Rule change April 2024)

Artists who perform on Inkigayo are eligible for the Hot Stage Award.

The winner is revealed during the next live show.
