Empowering STAYConclusion

Arm Yourselves, Help Empower STAYs Everywhere!

Conclusion

As STAYs, our hearts are deeply invested in supporting Stray Kids in every possible way. Beyond just adoring their music, we are driven to see them flourish and evolve as artists. This commitment often entails dedication, staying connected through social media, and actively engaging in promoting their music. That's why the Empowering STAY project, a collaboration between the Stray Kids Comeback Guide fanbase, OutreachRacha team, and a handful of dedicated STAYs — was created: to give us the knowledge and tools to support the idols we love.

This project strives to demystify things such as music charts, streaming, buying, and leveraging social media tools. It's all about empowering STAYS to make a tangible impact in their Stray Kids journey.

Our Key Takeaways

We hope you’ve found this guide both educational and illuminating. The teams at Stray Kids Comeback Guide & OutreachRacha, along with several hardworking STAYs known as SKZWHO, have done our best to offer full transparency by providing all the information and sources we used to give the most accurate information to STAYs. Here are a few takeaways from our collaboration team based on the research.

Your Contribution Matters

  • Streaming with Purpose: It's more than just listening to and buying music; learning how to stream strategically can make a difference in Stray Kids’ chart impact and reach outside the fandom.

  • Radio Requests: STAYs everywhere can be involved in requesting SKZ’s songs on the radio. It significantly helps with charts (e.g., the Billboard Hot 100) and with getting radio stations comfortable with playing SKZ even before and after comeback.

  • Cross-Promotion: Engagement on music platforms, sharing the music across platforms, and using official SKZ audio in social media content can help build viral trends and bring SKZ’s music to new listeners. No matter your level of editing or skills, you bring something special to the table every time you post something related to SKZ, whether that’s using their official audio in a Reel about yarn or using trending audio that features our beloved boys being chaotic.

Create a Web of Support

Understanding music charts and strategic streaming is key, but it’s not just about streaming; it’s about creating a web of support. Being adaptable on social media — using hashtags, making engaging content, and staying active — helps everyone’s efforts shine.

  • Trends: Keep up with the latest trends and craft engaging content to keep the buzz going so songs go viral and reach new audiences.

  • Engage with Content Consistently: Likes, comments, and shares in the first hour of a post on social media help algorithms determine its visibility to others. And even if you can’t be timely on some platforms, just replying to comments or reaching out to help other STAYs is more than enough.

  • Cross-Promotion: Help promote SKZ across as many social media platforms as you can. Potential STAYs can be found anywhere, and the more the fandom reaches out instead of standing still, the more we all connect.

Ever-Learning

The digital landscape is a dynamic canvas, ever-evolving and ripe with opportunities for innovation. Our ability to embrace change and remain adaptable is not just advantageous; it's essential. By staying updated and experimenting with new platforms and trends, we keep our support fresh and resonant.

In K-pop fandoms (as in other parts of life), there is a tendency to always do the same thing because “that’s how it’s always been done.” As we have learned throughout our research for this project, apps, chart tracking, and social media algorithms are constantly evolving. Flexibility is key. Always check that you are following the latest guides and tutorials.

Our journey, like SKZ’s, doesn’t end. Through shared knowledge and collection action, we not only empower Stray Kids to reach new heights but help give back the immeasurable gift SKZ has given us. Whether it's creating playlists, purchasing albums, providing translations, creating Reels, chatting with other STAYs, or organizing global streaming initiatives, every STAY's unique efforts play an indispensable role. Yes, each one of you matters.

We hope this guide serves as a catalyst, maximizing the impact of every STAY’s dedication and amplifying their support. Together, there are no limits to what we can accomplish. To infinity and beyond!

We want to leave the project finished with the thoughts, hopes and words from those who worked on the project.

We want STAYS to hear from STAYS.

A few things to remember:

  • The most difficult part is learning how and what to do, then taking what seems like a gargantuan first step. But please know there will always be STAYs who believe in you. You can do it! There’s nothing STAYs can’t do when we work together and believe in each other.

  • If you’re just starting out, don't try to take on everything at once. It can be all-too-easy to become overwhelmed. Set aside some time each day or week to learn about or set up something new and let yourself feel accomplished with each baby step.

  • Don't compare yourself to others. You are wonderfully you, not other STAYs. Do what you can with joy and love rather than stress.

  • Don’t stress too much about it. Do whatever you can moderately so you won’t feel too overwhelmed and end up not doing anything at all. Know that every small thing you do will help SKZ in a way, so if even just liking their posts and casting 1 vote is all you can handle today, it’s enough.

  • On voting, just do what you can. Don't worry about what others are doing. Not everyone can be a monster voter, and that’s okay!

  • If you feel alone, try to engage with like-minded STAYs on social media platforms to get a feel for which one you prefer. Use your block and mute buttons without compunction to cultivate a space that makes you happy.

  • Find a group chat. You can talk to other STAYs, hype each other up, and ask questions.  It helps a lot.

  • Know your WHY. Why do you love SKZ? And in what ways does supporting them bring you joy? It won’t feel like a chore if you’re doing it for the right reasons.

  • Start at your own pace, then adjust accordingly. The goal is to be consistent, so if all you can handle is one account, that’s more than enough!

  • Utilize the resources provided by our fanbases. They will help you know what tasks are most beneficial to SKZ.

  • Streaming is not a 24/7 activity. If you listen to one album, play one song, or park on Stationhead for any amount of time, you've just streamed!

  • Streaming can be a passive activity if you so choose. You can put on a playlist or park on Stationhead while you sleep, work, or just live your life. With Stationhead, you can leave your computer, tablet, or phone parked with the volume low and just let it go.

  • You don’t need to be connected to the internet to stream. Offline stream counts will update the next time your device goes online, just do it within 30 days.

  • Try to enjoy the moment. A comeback might have been long awaited, but it’ll be over before you know it. Enjoy the constant updates and remember that you’re currently creating fond memories that you’ll look back on one day, so live in the moment.

  • Truly only when you are enjoying the moment, helping the boys it won’t feel like a chore but more like passion work.
